By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to: 1.
master the six words of animals names: bear, elephant, lion, monkey, panda and tiger. 2.
understand the key sentence patterns: Do you like...? Yes, I do./No, I don’t. And they can ask and answer using these sentence patterns in their daily life. 3.
learn some reading strategies, such as guessing the meaning of new words. 三、教学重难点

Teaching procedures: StepⅠ.Warming up
Greeting:
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Lisa.
T:How are you today?
Ss: I’m fine, thank you.
T: You are fine. Great, now let’s sing an English song together. Do with me, ready, go. 【设计意图】教师与学生互相问好,齐唱歌曲Follow me,激发学生的学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。
StepⅡ.Lead in
T:Wonderful. Sit down and take a rest. Let’s listen to a song. All of you have listened to it before. Just review, clap your hands and try to sing with it, OK?
Ss: OK.
T:It’s very familiar,yes? There is an animal in the song. What is it?
Ss:老虎。
T:Yes,tiger. OK, follow me: tiger.(learn tiger)
T:Have you ever seen tigers before? Today, I’m going to take you to the zoo. Are you ready to go with me?
Ss: Yes.
(Play the video of the zoo for the students) 【设计意图】通过“两只老虎”儿歌视频引出老虎,由老虎引出动物园及其他动物,并通过播放动物视频,让学生们们真实地看到他们,激发学习这些动物单词的兴趣,为后面句型的学习做准备。
StepⅢ.Presentation & Practice A.T: Wow, it’s so exciting to visit the zoo.What did you see in the zoo?
S1:Tiger.
T: What about you? What did you see?
S2:Lion.
T: What is it?(humming the song named《熊出没》)OK, follow me: bear.(learn the new word: bear)
T:Do you like tigers?(Hold the word card and ask) (教授回答Yes,I do./No, I don’t.)(post on the blackboard)
T:Do you like lions?
S1:No, I don’t.
T:You don’t like lions, so what do you like?
(引导学生说出句型I like...)(post it on the blackboard) (1.
师生问答练习句型2.生生问答练习句型3.小组展示句型)
(review all the animals and the sentence pattern.) B.
(Show the main picture of this Unit, have a free talk) T:Let’s look at this zoo. What can you see in the zoo?
S1:I can see monkeys. T:Perfect. How many monkeys? S2:2. T:Look at the monkeys. They’re very cute. (You know ‘cute’? Explain what does ‘cute’ mean?)
T:What else can you see? S2: Elephant. T: Great, Look at the elephants, they are big and strong.(show the picture and explain the meaning.) (describe the zoo in the picture with the Ss) T:OK,now there are 5 questions for you. Please watch the listen and say. You’re supposed to write‘√’or‘×’ after watching.(play for the first time) Q:1.The monkeys are cute.
2.The bears are big and strong.
3.Ben likes elephants. 4.Kitty likes elephants. 5.The elephants are small and strong.
T:Time to show your answer.
Q:The monkeys are cute.
Yes or no
Call several student to show their answers.
(For the second time, listen and repeat.跟读文字)
Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation. For the third time, dub for the dialogue, the boys, you dub for Ben, the girls, you dub for Kitty. T:Great.Let’s retell it together.(stick the sentence on the blackboard.) 【设计意图】结合图片反复操练句型,复习动物单词。帮助学生通过问题来掌握阅读课文的方法,更好的掌握文章。
StepⅣ.Production Now let’s make a new dialogue, you can use the message on the blackboard. (With the teacher’ help, the Ss work in pairs and do it.)
【设计意图】小组合作自编对话,并上台展示,不仅拓展了知识,而且的展示过程中教师对学生进行鼓励,或是问题指导,
有助于更好的巩固旧知。
