【讲授】Moudle 1 Lost and found Unit

2 Are they yous

Step1 Warming up 1、Show some pictures to review the words of school things. 2、Review the text of Unit 1. 3、Read the words after the teacher. 4、Introduce the new words. 活动设计意图:主要是对第一单元和第二单元单词的学习,从而为文章的学习打好基础。

Ask:What things do you often lose? What expensive things did you lose? The students give different answer. 活动设计意图:引出下面活动1的练习。

Step 2 Completing the sentences 1、Ask:What are the people looking for? Camera Computer Mobile phone The students give the answers: A man is talking to a woman at the lost and found office.He’s looking for his______. A man is getting on the bus.His_____is lost. 2、Ask:Where are they looking for the lost things? Students answer:in Lost and Found office.

活动设计意图:通过第一单元所学的内容进行运用,将失物招领作为重点进行问答,引出活动2的短文。

Step 3 Reading Fast reading: Find the answer to the question:Why are there lost and found offices? 活动设计意图:通过快速阅读,掌握失物招领处的由来。

Careful reading: 1、Ask the students to read through the passage. 2、Read the passage and answer the questions. (1)When do people often lose things? (2)Why are there lost and found offices at airports and stations? (3)What do people do at the lost and found office? (4)What strange things are there at the New York City Lost and Found Office? Keys: (1)People often lose things when they’re travelling or when they’re in a hurry. (2)Because people leave things on planes,on trains,on buses and in taxis. (3)They look for things they have lost.

(4)There are about a hundred bikes,a large boat,a lot of animals and some sausages. 活动设计意图:主要是对各个细节的描述,并且能够学会根据问题准确掌握文章的细节。

3、Give the main idea to each paragraph and call back the answer from the whole class. 活动设计意图:训练学生总结文章段意的能力。

Step 4 Doing exercises 1、Complete the passage with the correct form of te words and expression from the box in Activity 3. 2、Retell the passage according to the short passage. 活动设计意图:通过这个练习来帮助学生对文章进行复述,让学生体会简单复述文章应该采用关键句型对重点内容进行复述。

Step 5 Homework

根据句意从方框中选择恰当的词,并用其适当形式填空,使句子完整、通顺,每词限用一次。
