一、Teaching aims: 1.
To understand the reading material about the Lost and Found Office in New York. 2.
To learn the new words and expressions. 3.
To learn to write lost and found notes. Teaching model: Reading and writing Teaching method: Top-down approach 二、Teaching Steps Step 1. Warming –up 1.
Let one student write the theme of this lesson. 2.
Ask the students to get ready for class. 3.
Greetings between the students and the teacher. 4.
Show some pictures to review the words of school things. Step 2. Lead in
Show some pictures and have the students learn ne words and expressions. Step 3. Reading (Activities
1,2,3) 1.
Show the pictures in Activity 1 and complete
the
sentences. 2.
Ask the students to read the title of the passage and answer the questions.
3.
Play the tape to have the students to read the passage aloud. 4.
Read the paragraphs in Activity 2 and answer
the questions, then call bac the answers from the whole class. 5.
Let the students to read it in groups and then check the sentences and complete the passage.
