二、教材简析

本课时的主要话题是谈论中国的传统节日，介绍的4个节日分别是Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival，还包括这些节日的日期、食物和风俗习惯等；词汇除了节日名词外，还有月份及相关食物。本课句式有：The … is in … or …

People (do/eat) … at … Festival.本课以文本的形式呈现，内容贴合学生实际，可以通过图片、语言支架等形式激活学生思维，让学生在阅读中体验语言，在语言输出过程中提高英语思维能力。

三、教学目标

1.能在语篇学习中正确听、说、读单词： festival, January, February, dumpling, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival, mountain等。

2.能在具体语境中熟练运用日常交际英语：The … is in…or … People (do/eat) … at … Festival. 来表达中国传统节日的日期,描述人们在不同的节日里的常见的活动和特色食物。

3.通过思维型阅读活动，使学生养成良好的阅读策略。

4.感受中国节日，热爱中国文化。

四、设计理念

本课时共设计了三个环节，首先是热身环节，即阅读前环节，通过与学生们共享节日图片、30秒说说已知节日两个小活动，导出本课主题：Chinese Festival；第二个环节是新授环节，即阅读中环节，通过Scan and underline，Watch and match两个活动，引导学生整体感知语篇；通过Listen and answer, Ask and answer, Work in pairs三个活动，指导学生学习方法，帮助学生搭建语言支架，深入学习文本内容，训练学生用英语思维的能力；第三个环节是巩固环节，即阅读后环节，通过多种形式的朗读、复述这两个活动，激发学生阅读兴趣，巩固本节课学习重点；通过欣赏并描述传统节日活动，将本节课内容延伸至生活实际，并挖掘文本情感教育，提升学生综合人文素养。
