Lesson 22 How Old Are You?

教学目标：

知识目标：1. 听、说、认读词汇：old, young。

2. 理解并正确表达重点句型：

—How old are you?

—I’m …year(s) old. 能力目标：1. 能用old/young描述家人或朋友。

2. 能谈论自己，对方及第三方的年龄。

情感目标：

培养尊老爱幼的美德。

重点难点：

重点：听、说、认读词汇：old, young；

掌握句型：How old are you? I’m …year(s) old. 难点：运用句型谈论自己，对方及第三方的年龄。

教学用具：

PPT、单词卡片、图片、录音机。

教学过程：

Step 1 Warm-up

1.

Greetings. 2.

歌曲How many?

Step 2 Leading-in

师生齐做数字操。

（设计意图：营造欢快愉悦的气氛，复习数字one –ten。）

Step 3 Presentation I.Old or young? 1. Show the picture of Santa, then learn the word old.

学生们自然就会将圣诞老人的形象和old的词义联系起来，从而推断old 的词义为“年老的”。

2.

Show the card and practice the pronunciation.

从cold的发音自然而然地学会old的发音。男生读---女生读---齐读---吃苹果读---单个学生读。（相机板书）

3. Show the picture of Sophia, then learn the word young.

学生们自然就会将索菲亚公主的形象和young的词义联系起来，从而推断young 的词义为“年轻的”。

Show the card and practice the pronunciation.

教师领读，男生读---女生读---齐读---走台阶读---touch and say。（相机板书）

5. Put the pictures of Santa and Sophia on the blackboard.

分别询问该放到old还是young的前头，以此再次强调old和young的词义。

6 .Show the pictures and practice the sentence structures：

He’s/ She’s old/young.

He’s/ She’s very old/young. II. Practice 1. Example：Show a family photo of Bob. Describe his parents, brother and sister using “This is my father/mother/brother/sister.

He’s /She’ tall/ short.

He’s /She’ old/young.”

2. Students come to the blackboard with a picture of family or friends and introduce. （分成男女两组。男生组用小蜜蜂（磁扣）代表，女生组用蝴蝶（磁扣）代表。在黑板上贴一朵“花朵”。以“蜜蜂蝴蝶争相采蜜”的情形来激发学生们学习和

表现的欲望。）

Let’s chant!

Review numbers one to ten.

One, two. How are you? Three, four. Open the door. Five, six. Pick up sticks. Seven, eight. Don’t be late. Nine, ten. Say it again.

IV. How old are you? 1. From “How are you ? ” to“How old are you?”

Ask: What’s the meaning? 2. Show two pictures of birthday cake. First count the numbers of candles and then say: How old are you?

I’m seven.

How old are you?

I’m one. 3.

Students can guess the meaning of “How old are you?”

教师把蜜蜂（男生回答正确）或是蝴蝶（女生回答正确）在黑板上向上走一格。（相机板书这个句子）

Learn the word “year”.

出示单词卡，通过ear 自然学会year的发音。男生读---女生读---齐读---走台阶读。

出示PPT。大量输入句子。使学生自己发现规律：如果想表达“我一岁了。”就要用“I’m one year old. ”

但是如果想表达“我两岁了。”就要用“I’m two years old. ”三岁至十岁的表达中也要注意year要用复数。从而学会How old are you?的回答。（相机板书这个句型，并且强调“year/years old”是可以省略的。同时将贴在黑板上写有“year/years old”的磁条拿下）

Practice the sentence structure —How old are you?

—I’m …year(s) old.

师问生答然后生问师答。（分别找三到五名学生）

Step 4 Extension

1.

Listen to the tape and ask “How old is Lynn?”

教师把蜜蜂（男生回答正确）或是蝴蝶（女生回答正确）在黑板上向上走一格。

2.

From “How old is Lynn?

Lynn is six years old.”

to“How old is he ? He is …”and “How old is she ? She is …”

3.

Practice the sentence structures:

How old are you?

I’m…

How old is he ?

He’s…

How old is she?

She’s…

How old is (name)?

(name) is…

以“师问生答---生问师答----生生对话”的方式

（分成男女两组。男生组用小蜜蜂（磁扣）代表，女生组用蝴蝶（磁扣）代表。在黑板上贴一朵“花朵”。以“蜜蜂蝴蝶争相采蜜”的情形来激发学生们学习和表现的欲望。）

Step 5 Let’s sing. 将“How old are you?

I’m…

How old is he ?

He’s…

How old is she?

She’s…”按照歌曲《两只老虎》的旋律编成歌谣。

以欢快愉悦的方式总结本节课的内容。

Step 6 Respect the old and cherish the young.

PPT出示图片，升华本节课的情感目标“尊老爱幼”
