教学内容：lesson19 Christmas is Coming! 教学目标：

（1）掌握四会单词：holiday，Christmas ,Christmas tree,Santa， lights,认读Western, special, Santa…

和日常用语：Merry Christmas! （2）根据所学内容，能简单介绍圣诞节，能听懂一些对圣诞节的描述。

（3）能使学生了解中西文化差异，有礼貌的和他人进行交流。

教学重点：四会单词和日常用语

教学难点：能简单介绍圣诞节，能听懂一些对圣诞节的描述。

教学准备：关于圣诞节的图片，圣诞老人的卡片，录音机，日历。

教学过程：

Step1、Class Opening and review （1）Greeting T: Hello, boys and girls! S: Hello, Miss Hu! T: Nice to meet you! S: Nice to meet you ,too !Let’s play a game, OK?

（2）play a game “what holiday is it?”出示图片，提问“what holiday is it?”，并说出具体日期。

（设计意图：吸引学生的注意力，同时这个游戏复习了节日，自然引出holiday一词）

Step2、New Concepts （1）Show the calendar

T: Today is December twenty-fifth . Christmas is coming！What is Christmas？（2）Show the Christmas tree T: What is this ？Do you know ？

Students：圣诞树。

T: Yes，it is a Christmas tree.教师带领学生读Christmas tree。

（同样方法教授Santa， lights）

说明圣诞节是西方的节日，过节时家家都有圣诞树，并且用彩色的灯装扮圣诞树和房子。也让学生简单说说我国的传统节日。

（3） Listen to the tape ,answer some questions (1)What’s Christmas?

(2)Why is Christmas special? (3)Do you like Santa? Why ? (4)When is Christmas? (检查学生对本课课文的理解情况) Step3 Practice 四人一组，介绍圣诞节。

Step4 Consolidation and extension 简单的描述圣诞节,给出提示，小组共同完成。
