1.Greeting and Review T: Hello,boys and girls!

Ss:Hello,Ms.Zhao. T:How are you?

Ss:I am fine. And you? T: I am fine too. Teacher shows the finger and students say one, two, three, four, five. Play the “Counting is fun”song from the last lesson. Teacher counts the students five and make a circle. Ask the class to count with the teacher from 1 to 5: One, two, three, four, five! Each group sings the song together. 2. New Concepts

Teacher shows some books to the class and ask: T:Look, what’s this?

Ss: It’s a book.

T:How many books?

Ss:One, two. Two. T: Very good. Teacher shows more books. T:How many books now?

Ss: One, two, three. Three. T:Yes. Teacher write the sentence on the blackboard. How many books do you have?

Three. Teacher read and the students answer. T:Look, what’s this?

Ss:It’s a marker.

T:How many markers do you have? Teacher gives the markers to a student. S1:One, two, three, four, five. Five. T:Very good. Then teacher goes around the classroom and ask the students T: How many desks do you have? How many chairs do you have? Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books. Talk about the pictures on page 40.The teacher can have the students count the number of people in the pictures, the number of markers on the desk, or the number of books Danny is

holding. T:How many books does Danny have? How many markers are on the desk? How many girls are in the picture? How many boys? How many desks do you see? Teacher write the answer on the blackboard.I have... 3. Let’s play!

Practice: pair works. Two students as on group and practice the dialogue. S1:How many ...do you have?
