一．教学内容：陕旅版三年级英语下册

Unit 8 Let’s learn 二．教学目标：1.学生能听说读写单词

big,small,tall, short, long. 2.学生能运用句型I have...,He/She/It has...以及课堂所

学的形容词描述自己或他人外貌特征。

三．教学重难点：1.重点突破tall,short, long的听说读写，学生能明白short的两种词义；

2.学生能正确运用句型，形容词以及名词单复数进

行外貌描述。

四. 教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up and review 1. Warming-up and review the words Ask students to watch a video.

Review the words about body parts. 2.

Let's chant. 3.

Show the competition mechanism to the students. 【设计意图】通过video吸引学生注意，引出身体部位，通过复习为后面的chant做好准备，同时将竞争机制介绍给学生，激发学生学习积极性。

Step 2 Lead-in and presentation 1. big/ small

Show two big ears and two small ears and students guess. Show the sentences: It has two big/small ears. Look at the baby's eyes.

Student describe according to the pictures. She has two big eyes. He has two small eyes. 【设计意图】big和small 在之前的单元就有学习过，通过复习这两个单词，同时复习句型It/She/He has...,为之后的外貌描述作铺垫。

2. long/short  Ask two students to choose one pencil (a short one and a long one)(通过对比释义，引出long and short)  Correction-I say you do Guessing game (Guess the animal according to the description) Describe the hair

-I have long/short hair.

-She/He has long/short hair.(PK: Sentence making) 【设计意图】通过让学生抽铅笔引出long和short，同时吸引学生的注意力。为了进一步考察学生对单词的理解，设计了guessing game环节，学生通过朗读句子来猜测所描述的动物，一让学生整体感知句子，二让学生更深理解单词。在第4个环节，学生描述自己头发长短的同时，也需要根据情况描述他人，做到句型的灵活转换。

3.tall/short

Show a picture of Yao Ming and Li Lianjie to let them know the meaning of tall and short. correction (let the students to spell “tall”

by themselves as they have learned “small”) Say some sentences according to the pictures. Describe themselves: I'm ______(tall/short). (PK: Sentence making) 【设计意图】通过高与矮的对比，让学生理解short的另一个含义。因为之前学过small，启发学生自己拼读单词tall。通过多张图片，让学生在描述过程中正确运用单词。

4.Review the words Read after the audio Read in groups Flash card (group competition) 【设计意图】整体复习单词

Step 3 Consolidation and exercises

1.Listening

Listen and judge/Listen and choose 2.Fill in the blanks according to the picture.

(Students do it together) 3.Describe the boy and the girl on the blackboard. 4.Task

Students choose one picture to describe, then show it to others. (Fill in the blanks)

 One student describe a classmate, and others guess 5.Funny faces 【设计意图】之前以读与说为主，在这一环节，增加听与写的部分，进一步考察学生的听力理解能力以及笔头表达能力。
