牛津英语4AM3U2的教学主题是关于社区的认识。教材提供了学生有关住所周围的常见场所supermarket, post office, restaurant等。要求学生通过对这些场所类单词以及方位词next to, between的学习，学会社区中常见的地点的表达；能用There be 句型的一般疑问句来问答地点，并通过一定情境的创设，引导学生学会运用There be句型。在此过程中，能综合运用学过的句型介绍现实生活中的社区场所的地理位置以及使用功能。本单元中介绍南京路的说明文是牛津上海版教材中第一次出现的篇幅较长的短文，其目的是通过对话、语篇的形式促使学生综合使用本单元学得的语言知识，并在学习交流的过程中，发展其英语运用能力。

单元教学目标

1、

学会名词supermarket, restaurant, post office，介词between, next to，进一步熟练运用There be句型描述周围的设施。

2、

正确使用句型Where’s…? It’s at No…. Road/Street或It’s on…Road/Street. 询问或介绍某一场所的具体位置

3、

能够正确使用There be句型的一般疑问句来问答地点。

4、

学会使用日常会话：Excuse me. / Let me see. / It’s our pleasure. 等

5、

通过参观南京路，了解大都市的繁华，激发学生爱家，爱国的情感。

6、

了解和感知sl-,sn-,sw-在单词中的发音，并能正确发音。
