一、教学背景简介

本单元的核心内容是以序数词在具体日期的应用中展开，主要句型是“When is……”

“It’s on……”本课时的教学内容包括Read and write 的小语篇，一个描写Sarah 用日记记录自己家小猫成长，主要复习几月几日的时间的用法及训练学生根据意群阅读，写简短句子的能力。Let’s warp it up总结基数词与序数词相互间变化的变化规则。Story time 围绕Zoom练习唱歌，最后练成唱歌参加歌唱比赛展开。训练学生故事展演的能力。

二、教学目标

知识技能目标：

1. 理解“Read and write”意思分意群进行阅读并完成习题；

2. 总结序数词与基数词互变规律，“Let’s wrap it up”完成书上填空；

3. 能在小组合作中完成“Story time”的故事讲述并展演故事。

情感目标：

S1：April Fool’s Day and Easter.

T: When is April Fool’s day?

热身/复习

S2:It’s on April 1st. (Warm-up/Revision)

T:When is Easter?

S3:It’s on April 5th this year.

T:When is Mike’s birthday?

S4:It’s on April 4th.

T:What can we do for Mike’s birthday?

S:We can have a birthday party for him.(师生共同复述课文内容) 1.

Read and write (1)

T:We know something in April. April is the same important for our two friends Sarah and Zoom too. Sarah’s cat have two kittens.

She writes down what the kittens do on her diary. Now let’s read it and pick out words you don’t know. 呈现新课

(Presentation)

T:Read again and finish “read and match”(让学生带着文章后面的问题根据莎拉日记的日期分意群再读一遍短文) S:“Their eyes are open.”

2. Story time (1) T:Zoom will join the singing text, but he can’t sing well. Dose he stay at home? Of cause not. What can he do? Please see cartoon then you will find the answer.

Ss: He practice hardly. (2) T:He practice every day before the singing text. How many friends want to play with Zoom? What do they do? Please read the passage in part and try to make a mind map in groups. Ss read and discuss in groups then draw a mind map.(各组展示并描述所画思维导图，师出示修正优化的结果)

1 T:We know Sarah’s diary and Zoom’s story. Now, it’s your turn. Please make a plan for your study. Tell me something about your plan. For example: April 26th, study English for one hour. Consolidation
