Unit 5 Seasons (Story time)

Teaching aims and learning objectives: 1. Knowledge aims: 1) Ss can get to know the words of seasons. 2) Ss can understand the season poem.

3) Ss can try to read and act the season poem.

2. Ability aims: 1) To improve Ss’ listening, speaking and reading abilities.

2) To develop Ss’ ability of work in groups.

3. Emotion aims: Enjoy each of the season, enjoy life. Teaching keys: Ss can understand the poem and retell it in class. 【设计意图：师生通过自由谈论拉近距离，通过问题喜欢英语课，引入今天下午有一节英语课，接着出示本节课学习目标，明确学习目的。】

2. Play a game 1

T: OK, boys and girls, let’s play a game. When you see a picture or a word, please read it out quickly. Are you ready? 【设计意图：通过游戏的形式复习与本节课有关的单词，为学习新的短语及课文做准备，也活跃了课堂气氛。】

3. Enjoy a song

Step 2 Presentation 1. Presentation of four seasons

(1) Watch and answer T: What are the four seasons? Let’s watch and answer the question. (播放课文动画)

S: Spring, summer, autumn and winter.

【设计意图：观看动画回答问题，引入spring, summer, autumn, winter四个季节。再通过chant形式巩固新学习的四个季节单词。】

2. Presentation of the weather in each season (1) Listen and match

2. Read and act together

T: When you read the poem, you should read with action and emotion.

3. Say and act T: You can choose one season to say and act in group of four.

If you read the poem with emotion, you can get one star.

If you read and act it out, you can get two stars. If you say and act creatively, you can get three stars. I’ll give you three minutes to prepare. 4

Let some groups retell in class.

【设计意图：在跟读中强化语音知识，注重学生语音、语调的训练和培养。在朗读诗歌的同时还要加动作有感情的朗读，且小组合作的形式可以降低活动的难度，增加活动的趣味性。可鼓励学生在原文的基础上进行改编和补充。】

Step 4 Summary

1. Make a summary of four seasons. 2. Emotion education We do lots of happy things in each season. And also, there are many active things we should do. Enjoy each of the season, enjoy your life! 3. Ticking time
