Unit 4 When is Easter? Part C Story time

一、教学目标

（一）语言技能目标：

1.学生能在图片和教师的帮助下理解故事内容。

2.能准确朗读并表演故事。

（二）语言知识目标：

1.在语境中恰当运用语言：Will you come to the party? / I want to practice my song. / I need more practice. / I’ll go swimming tonight.等。

2.学习英语谚语“Practice makes perfect.”并理解其深刻含义。

（三）情感态度目标：

端正学习态度，专心致志不受外界干扰，坚信：熟能生巧。 二、教学重点和难点

（一）重点：

1. 在图片和教师的帮助下理解故事内容。

2. 准确朗读故事。

（二）难点：

学习在语境中恰当运用语言：Will you come to the party? / I want to practice my song. / I need more practice. / I’ll go swimming tonight. Practice makes perfect.等。

三、教学过程

Step1.Pre-read 1.Sing a song. “When is your birthday?” Sing the song. 唱本单元的歌曲，复习日期的表达。

Step2.While-read

1.Watch the video,Answer the question:Who’s Zoom’s music teacher? 2.Watch the video, Answer the question:Can Zoom sing well? 3.Watch the video again,Answer the question: Zoom can’t sing well, what does Zip say? Show the answer: Don’t worry. Practice makes perfect. 4.

Watch the for the fourth time, Answer the question: At last, can Zoom sing well?引入语境后，先后设计几个问题，让学生看视频找答案，帮助学生理解故事大意：Zoom的音乐老师是谁？Zoom 能唱好吗？Zip对他说了什么？

T: Zoom practice more on May 1st,May 2nd, May 3rd,so he can sing well on May 4th.Now,try to say: What does” Practice makes perfect” mean? Discuss this question in small groups.让学生看一遍完整的视频，找答案：最后，Zoom唱得好吗？接着展示一下从May 1st到May 3rd坚持练习，最后成功，又引导学生注意日期在故事中的使用。接着帮助学生理解谚语”的意思。小组讨论。

5.Play the recorder, Ss listen and repeat.

6.Read the story.让学生跟录音朗读故事，模仿语音、语调。为表演做好准备。

Step3. Post-read

1.Act the story. 2.Add a title to this story. Add a title to the story.在学生表演完故事后，让他们给故事加个题目，以加深对” Practice makes perfect”的理解。

Step4.Homework Try to make a new story: Zip’s grandma’s birthday is on May 20th. Zip wants to make a chocolate cake for her grandma. But she can’t make a cake. What will happen? 作为一个拓展环节，让学生仿写一个故事。
