23.Happy birthday. ⅠClass opening and review 1. Greetings Hello, boys and girls.
How are you? Nice to meet you! (开课问候中用unit 1中所学句子进行简单问候,复习巩固所学)
2. Warm up
Sing “ABC song”. (设计意图:用unit 2所学的歌曲进行演唱,复习了unit 2所学字母,并为本课第三部分letters and sounds的字母发音教学进行渗透) 3.
ⅡNew concept Step1 Presentation
1. Teacher shows a picture of candles, and let the students speak out the numbers from 1 to 10 one by one. Then teacher shows a birthday cake, teach the new word “birthday cake”.
①T: What’s this?
It’s a birthday cake.
②Ask one student to tell the meaning.
③Read “birthday cake” in a line. While reading the word, the student should touch the word card.
(设计意图:在讲授单词时让学生边读边指卡片,让学生读的有乐趣,单词记忆更深刻) Then teacher ask a question: Today is Jenny’s birthday. This is Jenny’s birthday cake. How old is Jenny ? Students listen to the text of picture 2 and try to find the answer: How old is Jenny? (设计意图:通过新授单词birthday cake引出Jenny的生日,教师提出问题:How old is Jenny? 在让学生回答问题之前,教师先播放课文第二幅图录音,让学生先听音感知,并尝试自己找到答案)
2. Teacher shows LiMing and Danny, and Jenny with a birthday cake and some birthday gifts. Ask the question: What do they have?
A birthday party .
①Show the picture of a birthday party. Ask the student to tell the meaning and read the word in a row.
②Ask and answer in pairs. What’s this?
It’s a birthday party.
(设计意图:在讲授新授单词birthday party之后,学生用Unit1中What’s this? It’s a ________. 句型进行练习,对以往所学知识进行了巩固练习)
Step 2 Drill
Listen to the text of picture 1 to 3 and ask the Ss to follow.
Then the boys read together and then the girls read.
Step 3 Presentation
Teacher sticks a card of birthday cake on the Bb.
Teacher ask the question: What’s this?
The Ss answer: It’s a birthday cake.
Then teacher sticks some balloons on the Bb. Teacher ask them together: What do they have?
The Ss answer: A birthday party.
Then T sticks a birthday gift on the blackboard.
Teach the new word “birthday gift”.
①Read the word together, and ask the Ss to tell the meaning.
②Sticks another gift on the Bb, teach the plural form of “gift”.
Count the gifts together: One birthday gift, two birthday gifts, three birthday gifts……
③Read the words by playing “Big voice and small voice”. (设计意图:通过教师在黑板上布置情境,复习了birthday cake, birthday party,并通过粘贴的方式让学生掌握了另一个新授单词birthday gifts,并进行了数字与单词复数形式的练习) Step 4 Practice
①T gives the birthday gifts to the Ss. While giving the birthday gifts, T should say “This gift is for you”. The Ss should answer “Thank you”. Practice these two sentences in a line. ②Ss give the birthday gifts to others and practice together ----This gift is for you. ----Thank you. Step 5 Drill Listen to the whole text and read it follow the tape.
Then watch the cartoon of this lesson carefully and then follow it.
Step 6 Practice
Suppose today is someone’s birthday in our class, ask the Ss to say some sentences what they’ve learned in this lesson.
Ss can give the birthday cake and birthday gifts as a real activity. (通过创设班上某位学生过生日的情境,让全班其他同学充分利用课文中所学句型向他表示祝贺,并真实赠送生日礼物,可以是教师准备好的或礼物卡片。这个环节的设计让每一位学生融入真实的情境,使他们积极主动地乐于使用所学语言进行交际,同时教师在此环节设计评价手段,以此激励学生热情参与)
Step 7 Drill
Ask the Ss to learn and sing a song “birthday song” to others.
Notice: Add the name of Ss in the song.
(设计意图:学生先听后唱,并提示他们将过生日的同学名字加入歌词)
Step 8 Presentation
T shows the letters in part 3 and asks the Ss try to pronounce the sounds at first.
(设计意图:鉴于学生已学习字母的读、写,为此此环节由教师出示字母并让学生尝试说出发音,并由学生结合所学过单词进行归纳,所学过的单词有哪些体现了这个发音规律。体现了学生自主学习,自我体验,提高学生的英语分析、总结能力。)
Ask five students to come to the front ,read the letters and the words as little teachers, other Ss should follow .
(设计意图:通过全班字母认读及其发音练习,找出乐于领读的学生充当小老师,带读全
班其他同学进行练习巩固,加深学生记忆)
