Step 1: Warm up and lead in

Enjoy “Happy Song”. 3.
Have a guessing game. Step 2: Presentation and Practice Skimming 1.
Let students ask some questions about the cover of the picture book. (1)

Where are they? (3)
When is it now? (4)
What are they doing? (5)
Why are they so happy? 2. Read the book quickly and find out the answer of five questions . 3. Listen to the tape and discuss in group to answer the question:
“How do we divide the story into three scenes? ”

Find out the difference between Fred’s words. (2)
Read as Fred and imitate the pronunciation and intonation. 5.
