Step1: Warm-up

2. CAI----thundering and raining

3. Let chant. Revision: 1. CAI shows a rainbow after the song. Then ask the Ss “ What colors can you see in the rainbow?”

2. Review the learnt colors “ red” “ yellow” “ blue”.

Presentation: 1. The teacher plays a magic----Mix the red water and the yellow water. Let Ss guess what will happen. 2. Teach the new color-----orange. 3. Divide the students into groups, ask them to mix any two colors together and find how many new colors can be found. 4. Teach the new colors------purple,

pink,

green. 5. Ask Ss to find the new colors around the classroom. Consolidation: 1. Play a classroom activity to help Ss to practice the color words.------prepare some flower rings in different colors. Put the rings on the floor and let the Ss jump from one to another. Ask them to say the color word of the ring in which they jump. 2. Have a competition between groups. Relaxation: 1. Listen to a song. -----CAI shows the video “color song”.

2. Ss clap their hands and sing after the video. 3. Draw a picture using the learnt colors. Ss can work in a group. Within the limited time, they have to try their best to finish their picture. Then all the children will evaluate all the pictures using the gestures. Expansion: 1. CAI shows the video about the children describing the colors of the things. 2. Help Ss try to imitate the video to describe things. E.g.

The bag is yellow.

The desk is orange. etc.

3. In groups,

help Ss to describe the picture drew by themselves. Emotion training: 1. CAI shows Ss a beautiful picture with blue sky,

white clouds, green water and green trees and hills. Help Ss to describe the picture.

2. Then CAI shows the beautiful picture becomes the polluted scenery with gray sky,

gray clouds,

dried-up river

perish trees. 3. Help Ss realize the importance of the green and know we should protect the environment. 4. CAI shows a picture of white pigeon, help Ss know the white pigeon means peace. We need peace. 5. CAI shows a colorful world map, help Ss know the world is colorful and we should love the colorful world. Homework: 1. Listen and read after the tape recorder. 2. Try to recognise the words of the colors in the module.
