2. Presentation

(1)Before our class, I will ask students two questions:

Q1. How is the weather today?

Q2.Which season is it now?

Then choose two or three students to answer my questions.

(2)The weather is colder and colder, so we should change our clothes. Before we learn new lesson, let’s learn the words of winter clothes. hat, scarf, winter coat, sweater

Look at the pictures and review the words together. Then lead students to read these words two times.

(3)①Today we will learn the new words to describe the clothes better. put on, take off

Learn the new words and make sentences with the new words.

②Discriminate “wear” and “put on”

Let students do a practice about this knowledge.

1.Winter is coming. We should ()the winter coat.

2.My sister is ( ) a yellow sweater today.

3.(1)Turn to page 40, lead students to read the part1 two times. Give them several time to read the part 1 in their groups. Then talk about and answer the questions.

Choose three groups to answer the questions. Then let them read the

question and answers together.

(2)①Lead students to read the part 2 two times, then lead students to learn the new sentences.

Q1.I’m putting on my winter hat.

Q2.I’m going to put on my coat.

I say the Chinese, and let students make sentences in English. Q1.我们正在踢足球。We are playing football.

Q2.我明天将要买一本书。I am going to buy a book tomorrow. ②finish the practice “I can do it!”

Give students some time to do the practice “Look at the pictures and make sentences as the examples.” Then let two students to share their answers. After that, lets students to read the answers together.

(3).Roles-play

Choose two students to play roles to finish a activity according to the dialogue that I have gave them.

Lead students to remind the knowledge we have learnt in this lesson together.
