Teaching contents: The first period of Unit 3 Bank or Beach? Teaching aims: a. Students can listen, read and understand the new words: bank,restaurant,hospital,shopping mall,beach. b. Students can understand the story. c. Students can act out the story in groups. Key points and difficulties: Students can use the new words to retell the story. Aids: PPT, marks,pictures. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Warm up a. Sing a song:Where are you going? Step 2 Presentation a. Lead in. Talk about Gogo and his friends, then lead in the new words. b. Watch the video,then answer the questions. c. Practice the words and the drills. d. Watch the video again,listen and repeat,then read together. e. Fill in the blanks . f. Read the story in groups.
g. Group work. h. Act out the story in groups of nine. i. Retell the story. j. Do exercise. Step 3 Homework 1.
