Show students some pictures of the Lost and Found Offices in New York city, check or teach the new words.

Scanning (1)Ask students to scan the passage. T: There is a big Lost and Found office in New York. There are many things in it. Please scan

the passage and answer the question: “What things are there at the lost and found office in New York City?

Step 3Skimming

Ask students to skim the passage. T: There are many lost things in the Lost and Found Office, many people come here to find their things. Do you want to learn more about it? Now, please skim the passage and answer the questions in Activity 2. Step 4 .Careful reading.
