“Amy” invites students to her home and teaches the key words when she introduces her home. a.

2. Pair work: Amy introduces her cat --- Mimi, and tells an interesting story. Students make the

dialogues in the situation by using “Is she in the...? Yes, she is. No, she isn’t.”

3. Look and say a.

T: Today we go to Amy’s home. Are you happy? How many rooms are there in her home? What are they? Let’s look and say.

Students watch a cartoon about Amy’s home and say the rooms in English.

Step3. Consolidation 1. Play a game: Who has good eyes?

2. Group work: Students show the pictures of their homes and introduce their homes in groups.

T: We all have homes. You have a home. I have a home, too. But there are some people who lost their homes in an earthquake. Some lost their houses. Some even lost their family. Fortunately, they got help. Boys and girls, Let’s help them. OK?

Step5. Homework 1. Group work: Design a home for the people who lost their homes and draw it. ( you will get one star ) 2. Introduce the home to other groups. ( 2 stars )

3. Students read the 5 words after class. And find the similarities and differences of the 3 words: “ bedroom, bathroom, living room” in spelling.
