教学内容分析:本部分的对话内容是在A部分的基础上,增加了tall、short、deer、giraffe.四个新词。常用表达法Yeah和You are right. 教具准备:图片(giraffe、deer) 、头饰(elephant、tiger、monkey、kangaroo、giraffe、panda)、单词卡片(big、small、tall、short、long)

学生准备自己喜欢的动物玩具。

Steps Step1 Revision 1. First let's do (Page 61)( 看视频投影,学生边说边做。运用歌谣,调动情绪,激发热情,又复习旧知识,直接引入新课。) 2. Look at some words "big small long short tall". 1) Teacher shows the word one by one. Students read them, then teacher puts them on the blackboard. 2) Do a game (教师找两名学生到前面,教师说big ,这两名学生用教鞭指small,如果指对,其他学生说Yes。如果他们指错,其他学生说No。教师给指对的同学发小奖品,进行鼓励。充分复习这些形容词为本节课做好基础铺垫。) 3.Describe animals 1) Teacher shows some pictures. Ss read and describe two animals. 2) Using video frequency projection to show four animals then describe them .(学生小组讨论自己最喜欢的动物,然后汇报自己喜欢的动物。用

It has......描述。描述动物既是检查旧知识,又为本节课扫清语言障碍。) Step 2 Presentation 1 New words.

Now I'll introduce a new animal for you. Listen! "It is an animal. It is very tall. It has a long neck." What is it?(考虑学生的特点,用谜语引入新单词,学生有兴趣。)

Ss: 长颈鹿。

T: Yes. You are right. It's a giraffe.(教师出示图,贴黑板上,学生一排one by one 的读。师板书:giraffe)

T: Let's describe it. OK? S1:It has a long neck. S2:It has a short tail. T: Is it tall or short? Ss: Tall. (教师在giraffe后面板书tall) Teacher writes "ear" on the blackboard and say: What is it? Ss : read. Teacher changes "a" to "e" , then add "d" before "eer". Ss try to read the word.(教师利用学过的单词,引导学生自己试读新词。渗透音标,培养学生自己认读能力。))

Teacher puts the picture of the deer on the blackboard, then teaches the word. T: Is the deer short or tall? Ss: Short. (教师在deer后面板书short) 2 New sentences 1) Teacher: Look! The giraffe is tall. The deer is short.(教师边说边把句子板书补充完整。句子板书,教学重点一目了然,学生说句子有参考。)

Ss repeat the sentences. 2) Look at the projection

T:I have some animals. Look! Let's compare them.(教师出示几组动物图片giraffe/deer, monkey/elephant, rabbit/panda, mouse/tiger学生比较

它们,用tall, short; small, big说句子。) 3 Do a guessing game.(教师手里拿些写有动物的纸条,找同学到前面抽纸条,用英语描述特征,其他学生猜是什么动物。给描述好的同学小奖品,调动气氛,并以资鼓励。进一步加强学生对动物特征的观察和语言描述。)

4 New dialogue T: Now Amy and her father are at the zoo. What are they talking? Let's watch and listen. 1) Ss watch the video frequency projection. 2) Teacher explains some sentences Yeah是Yes的口语。

You are right.你说对了。

T: "Dad. You are tall. I am short." But I am tall, you are short. (教师用手势边说边做tall和short的动作。) 3)Ss watch the dialogue again(再一次整体感观。)

4) Listen and read by the tape(跟读课文,模仿语音,语调,训练听力。)

T: Let's read by the tape. Teacher asks some teams/rows/boys/girls/lines to read some sentences. 5) Ss work in pairs T: Can you work in pairs? Ss: Yes. T: Please work in pairs. I'll check you. 6) Four pairs act it out T: Which pair want to try? Put up your hands.

Ss play it very well. The other students clap hands and say: "Wonderful, wonderful, you are wonderful."(学生之间的鼓励更能激发学生的表演欲望,他们希望得到同伴的肯定。学生的参与表演是运用语言交际的最好机会,要鼓励他们积极参与。)

Step3 Drill 1 Talk about animals T: Look. I have a mouse. It is big. It has a long tail and big ears.(用视频投影出示句子,教师说范例。) T: Class, do you have a toy animal? Ss: Yes . T: Please take it out and describe your toy animal in your groups, then report. Teacher asks some students to describe their toy animals.(发给讲的好的同学小奖品,来鼓励。介绍自己的玩具,教师先让他们小组讨论,再站起来说一说,学生有兴趣又提升语言的综合运用能力。)

2 Sing a song T: Class , do you like animals? Ss: Yes. T: Animals are our friends. Look! They're coming.(教师出示头饰,学生说单词,并提问Where is the ...?把头饰发给某些学生.)Let's sing the song "They are in the zoo." OK ? (这些学生到台前边做这种动物的动作,边唱。其他同学在自己的座位上边看视频投影,边坐动作,边唱。歌曲学生很喜欢,特别是简单歌曲,学生在唱的同时,全身心投入,又是一个高潮,学生意犹未尽,为下一节课做好感情铺垫。)

3 Homework T: Class, please talk about your favorite animals to your father and mother at home. OK? Ss: OK T: Time is up. Goodbye everyone.

Ss: Goodbye teacher.
