Oxford English 2A Module 1 Unit 1 Period: 1st period Topic: getting to know you Sub-Task: learn to greet teachers or classmates at school Background study and material analyses:

Students have learned some formulaic expressions of greeting and farewell

in 1A, like hello, hi, good morning and good afternoon. And they can use “How are you?” to ask and express their feelings. So the key words and formulaic expressions in this lesson is relatively easy for students. But, this time students should be able to copy and recite the key words. Objectives:

1. To identify the key words by listening to the pronunciation, try to copy them in correct form and to recite the new words: morning, afternoon, evening, night. 2. To understand formulaic expressions of greeting and farewell in context and respond accordingly 3. To use formulaic expressions of greeting in the appropriate context 4. To enjoy the song on page 4 Aids:
