Book: Oxford English 4A Module 3 Unit 2 Aroud my home Look and read Learning Objectives:

1) Learn to express some words and phrases.

e.g.: centre, be famous for,thing,stay, hotel, many other things, in the centre of and etc.

2) Learn to descirbe the location of a certain place.

e.g.: Nanjing Road is in the centre of Shanghai.

3) Encourage students to know about, to introduce Nanjing Road, and some famous shops in this shopping street.

4)

Encourage students to recommend something.for friends and recommend the shops that they should visit.

Difficulties:

Introduce the busy and beautiful Nanjing Road from different aspects.

Free talk.

1. Have you been to Nanjing

Road?

T-P:Ask and

answer

Purpose 说英语儿歌,使学生进入课堂英语学习气氛。为下文切入话题铺垫。

了解学生是否去过南京路,引出南京路。

II. While- task procedure

1. Show the map of shanghai. Learn the new word “centre” and the pattern: Nanjing Road is in the centre of Shanghai.

2. Learn the pattern ‘Let’s visit…’

Show pictures of some excellent stores of special and encourage students recognize them.

3. Learn the pattern: ___ is famous for____. You can buy your___ here. 1) Introduce Hendry, and its specific goods. to elicit the new pattern.

2) Practise the new pattern.

3) Invite students introduce the shops they are familiar with the given pattern.

4) Show No. 1 Department Store to practise the pattern and elicit ‘and many other things’.

5)Show Park Hotel to learn the words:stay, hotel

4. Consolidation of the new words and patterns.

1) Listen to the chant.

2) Read the chant, try to follow the rhythm.
