Unit7 I Have a Headache. (The 2nd period)

【教材分析】

本课内容是陕旅版小学英语五年级下册Unit7 I Have a Headache.中的第一课时Let’s learn中的前四个词语和let’s talk的上半部分。本课主要以会话为主,通过对词汇的学习和巩固,学习如何就引起对方身体不适的疾病进行问答。

【学情分析】

本课的教学对象是小学五年级的学生,学生已有一定的英语基础知识,大部分学生对英语学习兴趣浓厚,乐于参与各种课堂活动。学生在第六单元的学习过程中已经熟练掌握了由will引导的一般将来时态,教师在此基础进行本节课会话就变得非常容易了。

Learning aims

1.Be able to listen, speak, read:

2.Be able to use the sentences “What's wrong with you?I have a....”

3. Cultivate students to pay attention to their health and be able to express their feeling.

Teaching Process

Step1 Warming up

Sing an English song.

(上课开始前唱一首英文歌,既活跃了课堂气氛,又自然而然地把学生引入到英语学习的氛围中)。

Step2 Leading in

T: How are you? Are you feeling happy?

Ss: Yes.

T: But I am not happy.

Ss: Why?

T: Because I have a cold.

(教师通过问答的教学方法,通过提问设置悬念,让学生自然而然地进入到今天的话题。同时教师做动作,新词组的意思也显而见,不需要教师过多解释)。

Step3 Presentation

1. Teacher teaches the phrase “have a cold”

T reads and Ss follow for several times.

2. Teacher teaches the phrase “have a fever”

T: I have a cold. Do you have a cold?

S1: I have a cold.

T: Really? Let me have a look. Yes. You have a cold and have a fever. T reads “have a fever”and Ss follow for several times.

3. Teacher teaches the phrase “have a cough”.

T:I have a cold, so my throat is not very good, sometimes I have a cough. (Teacher does the action.)

4. Teacher teaches the phrase “have a headache”.

T: I have a cold, so sometimes I have a headache.

Teacher reads the phrase for several times.

(教师通过设置情景并结合TPR教学方法教授新词汇,这样既激发了学生学习的兴趣,还能很好地吸引学生的注意力,避免了词汇教学的枯燥与乏味)。

Step4Play a game

1. I do, you say

Teacher does the action and Ss speak English.

2. I say, you do

Teacher speaks English and Ss do the action.

(教师通过简单游戏,让学生在玩中记忆,消化单词,有趣而不乏味)。

Step5 Sentences Presentation

T: I have a cold. What’s wrong with you?

S1: I have a cold, too.

T: You look ill. Just stay in bed. I will call the doctor.

S1: Thank you.

T: What’s wrong with you?

….

(教师通过一问一答的形式导出新句子,并巧妙给出建议简化本课难点。学生自然而然地理解了“What’s wrong with you?”的意思,教师做出睡觉和打电话的手势,学生就会理解老师给出的建议,简单明确)。

Step6 Practice

T gives the example of the dialogue to practice.

A: What’s wrong with you?

B: I have a....

A: You look ill. Just stay in bed. I will call the doctor.

B: Thanks.

(该部分给学生提供了练习新词汇,新句子的机会,学生可以两人一组练习对话,教师可以对学生的发音进行纠正。同时也可以检测学生是否能恰当使用本节课所学内容)。

Step7 Listen and answer the questions

Q1: How is Colin feeling?

Q2: What’s wrong with you?

Q3: What will Colin’s mother do?

(这一部分教师通过播放听力让学生熟知课文对话,在此基础上学生回答问题,根据学生回答问题的情况,教师可以了解学生对课文对话的理解程度,为下一环节做好准备)。

Step8 Revise and show

T gives Ss several minutes to revise the dialogue and show their dialogue in front of the class.

(这一部分练习具有创造性,学生通过改编课文对话,并且表演出来,能更形象、真实地将本课所学知识运用到生活中,教师同时也为学生提供了真实的语言环境,这样更能让学生大胆,敢于开口说英语,表现自己)。

Step9Let’s chant

Little Tom, little Tom,

has a cold, has a cold

He has a cold. He has a cold.

Oh, poor boy. Oh, poor boy.

(教师提供“两只老虎”的音乐,让学生伴随着音乐说唱,学生还可以自行改编,培养学生的创造力。这样设计的目的让学生在快乐中进入课堂,同时也让他们在快乐中结束这节课)。

Step10 Emotion education

Do more exercise, drink more water and keep healthy.

(在这节课接近尾声的时候老师给同学们提出一点建议,希望同学们多锻炼,多喝水,保持健康,达到了情感教育的目的)。

(总结本课所学内容,方便学生总结归纳学习)。

Step12 Homework

口头作业:改编本课对话,和你的同桌练一练。

笔头作业:把你编写的对话写到你的练习本上并翻译。
