My Family By Jiaqi Zhang

Step 1

Greetings and Warming-up

Show a photo and ask the students “Who are they?”. Let students answer freely.

Step 2

Presentation 1.

I can read Learn the seven new words with pictures and phonics teaching method Language points:

Family, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, sister, brother

Listen and follow the tap b.

Let students listen and follow the tap, and then correct their

pronunciations.

Show your family

Ask students to bring out the photos of their families and try to figure out the figures with the phrase “my …”. The teacher will give the example of herself. d.

Missing Game T: Boys and girls, let’s play the missing game! Speak out the word

when it is missing. Ok? S: OK! Go! 2.

I can say Open page 22, learn and read the two new sentences. “Who’s she? ”

“She is my grandmother.”

Translate and explain the two sentences and teach the students the sentences word by word. Esp. “who” and “she”. a.

After learning, practice them with “little train”. 3.

I can sing Watch a video about the song, “Family Finger”

and learn how to sing. The teacher explains the meaning of the song, and then teaches the song word by word and line by line. Ask the students to show individually and praise with little gifts. 4.

Consolidation Summary: T :“Today, we learnt seven new words. They are…”

Review the knowledge we learnt today. 2.

Preview the phonics part.
