Unit 4 When is Easter?

教材分析 :

本单元围绕与学生生活紧密联系的“节日和生日”展开话题,并将话题延伸到谈论节日和生活所在的日期。

学情分析:

上个单元,学生已经学习了12个月份的单词以及一些节日及节日所在的月份。本单元继续学习有关节日所在的具体日期;学习1-30的序数词和日期的表达法。

教学目标 :

1.掌握序数词1-30的书写及简写形式。

2.熟练地运用12个月份和序数词构成的日期。

3.熟练的表达自己的生日,以及询问别人的生日所处日期

教学重难点:

及解决措施在教学过程中,教师要引导学生自主发现基数词和序数词的变化规律,特别要提醒学生注意不规则变化的序数词。

教学设计思路通过话题的引入和活动多种形式操练句型。

教学过程:

Step 1.Preview and review (7’)

1)Greetings: sing a song together.

2)Revision:Go over the old words: Monday- Wednesday January, February, March, April, May,June,

T:What day is it today? Ss: Today is Monday/ Wednesday. T: When is your birthday? Ss: It’s in July.......

Step 2. Presentation(18’)

1)Blackboard: the title “Unit 4 When is Easter?” and teach them to read.

2) T: Do you know when is Easter? Ss: It’s usually in April…….

T: DO you know when is April Fool’s Day? Ss: 4.1

T: Do you know how to say 4.1 in English?

Learn the new words:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd), fourth(4th), fifth(5th)

T:first .first Spell it please. S:Read after teacher and spell the word. (teach in the same way)

3) T: Make a sentence: first .first April Fool’s Day is on April 1st.. S:Read after teacher

(consolidate in the same way, My birthday is on May 2nd. Tell them it’s necessary to add the when reading。

4)translate between the teacher and students, singing contest, maths test school trip , English test。

5) sentences drill:T: When is your birthday? Ss : It’s on Oct 2nd.

T: When is singing contest?.... Ss: It’s on Jul. 1st….

6)Listen to the tape and read after it.

Step 3.Communication:(5’)

1)Group work:Ask and answer:(use the words they’ve learned) When is the sports meet/English test? S:It’s on April 4th. …………..
