主谓一致：

主语和谓语保持一致即谓语动词的形式必须随着主语人称和数的变化而变化。

例如：I like music.

She likes music.

You like music.

A book is on the desk.

Two books are on the desk. 2.

定语从句的先行词：

先行词是定语从句的引导词前面被定语从句所修饰的名词、代词

例如：

The boy （who broke the window）

is called Tom. 先行词是the boy

语法规则一：谓语动词使用单数的情况

1.学科名称, 国家名称作主语时,谓语动词用单数；主语为表示长度、重量、时间、或是价值的复数时，应看作是整体,即使其中的名词为复数形式，谓语动词也用单数

2.动名词或不定式作主语时，谓语动词用单数。

3. each/neither/either+of + the+复数名词或代词在句中作主语时，不定代词如someone,everyone,anyone等作主语时，谓语动词应该用单数；

4.

and 连接的两个名词，指同一个人或物时，即身兼两职，谓语动词用单数，此时and 的后面的名词前面没有冠词。

5.

单个主语从句作主语时，谓语动词用单数；但表语是复数名词时,主句的谓语动词通常用复数形式

more than one 等修饰的单数可数名词作主语时，谓语动词用单数．

语法规则二 就近原则

1.

这些连词连接两个主语时，谓语应与最靠近它的主语保持一致。

2.

there be 句型中，谓语动词be应与后面的名词保持一致；当后面的名词不止一个时,谓语动词的人称和数应该和其最靠近的那个名词的人称和数保持一致．

语法规则三

视情况而定

1.主语被介词短语修饰

主语后面有as well as, but, except, as much as, together with, along with, with,rather than介词短语修饰时，谓语动词不受修饰成分的影响，仍保持同主语一致的关系。

2.定语从句中主谓一致情况



关系代词作主语，定语从句谓语动词的形式取决于其先行词的单复数。Tip：找出先行词



one of +名词复数，从句谓语用复数；the only one of +名词复数，从句谓语用单数

3. family, team, class, crowd, government, group, police等集体名词作主语时，如果强调整体指代抽象概念，谓语动词用单数形式；如果强调集体中的成员，谓语动词用复数形式。
