Module 3 Interpersonal Relationships-Friendship Reading and Vocabulary

Teaching aims: 1. To introduce the interpersonal relationships between persons and how to improve friendship. 2. To train and develop the students’s reading ability.. 3. According to learning the materials, make the Ss form active friendship with others. Important and difficult points: 1. Get students to know how to deal with the interpersonal relationships and form good friendship. 2. How to help the students understand the passage better. Teaching procedures: Vocabulary

Step 1. Lead in Invite the students to enjoy a song and some pictures , and ask the students what topic the song is about. Then show a picture about the passage and ask the students to guess what the boy is doing. Step 2. Skimming Ask the students to go through the passage as quickly as they can , divide the passage into 4 parts and then match each part with it’s main idea. According to the main ideas of the 4 parts, the students can get 4 important time points and then they can get a time line, which we should pay attention to when we are reading. Step 3.Detailed Understanding Ask the students to read the passage part by part, and answer the questions for each part. The students should finish this activity in groups. Step 4. Post Reading

Ask the students to listen to the record of this passage and complete two short paragraphs with the words they hear from the record. Step 4. Summary In this class, we have learnt the story between two friends and that the passage is organised by time.We have also learnt some useful words and expressions.
