张华 一．教学内容：PEP五年级下册Appendix5 二．教学目标：

（一）知识与技能：

1.会读本册书六个单元的谚语

2.能够理解并表达这六个谚语，并能在相应语境中灵活运用。

3.学生能够明白这些谚语的内在含义。

（二）过程与方法：

1.学生能在老师的详细讲解过程中理解谚语的含义，并在实际

对话当中灵活应用。

（三）情感态度与价值观

1.通过本节课的学习，教会学生要有一种吃苦耐劳，乐观，谦虚的良好精神。并让他们知道，在学习和生活中，要珍惜当下，做好自己。

三．教学重难点：

1.

重点：会读并且能够掌握句子的基本意思。

2.

难点：理解句子含义，在实际语境中运用这些句子。

四．教具准备：PPT 五．教学过程：

（一）Greatings T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, Miss Zhang T: Sit down, please! T: Thank you so much. （二）Review 1.“You cannot judge a book by its cover.”

提示：通过看一组图片对比，说出这个谚语的含义。

2.“An apple a day keeps the doctor away”

通过一首歌曲来巩固这个谚语。

（三）Presentation 1. “The early bird catches the worms”

讲解新单词catches 和 worms, 并展示一个小故事帮助学生理解其含义。

2. “Every season brings its joy.”

讲解此谚语道理，每一件事情都有其两面性，我们要往好的方面去想。举了两个简单的例子

Example1. When a bottle of drink is dropped, what will you do ? No1.Stand there and say sadly:“all over.”

No2. Pick up the bottle and say happily:“there is still some ”

Example2.If you lost your money, what will you do? 3.“Life has seasons.”

T:How many seasons in a year? Ss: Four

T: They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. When is our sring, summer, autumn and winter? PPT展示每个季节的我们，

并讨论我们分别处于人生的哪一个季节。以我自己为例，我处于夏季，那么春季就成了昨天，秋冬就是我的未来。随后展示另外一个谚语。

4.“Yesterday, today and tomorrow --these are three days of a man.”

T: Yesterday has gone. Today is a present. Tomorrow is mystery. we cannot change yesterday. But we should be hardworking today and be successful tomorrow! 告诫学生要珍惜眼前，珍惜现在。

5.“Let sleeping dogs lie.”

谈论英语当中有很多谚语都与狗有关。举几个例子，并让学生猜测其意思。告诫学生，此谚语让我们做好自己，不管闲事。

6.“It’s the empty can that makes the most noise.”

实物演示empty can 的意思。举两个现实中的例子去帮助理解本谚语的内涵。告诫我们要谦虚切勿骄傲。

（四）Summery 总结本节课的学习成果。并让学生反复诵读Hardworking, modest , optimistic, do yourself and cherish our present. （五）Homework 1. Read these new proverbs to your parents.
