School Subjects Period one Teaching aims: the students can master the new words about subject (maths/art/music/PE/…)；the students can use the sentence pattern“Do you like …？/ Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.”to communicate with others; the students can know more about their classmates. Teaching focal point: the new words about subject. Teaching difficult point: the pronunciation of the new words. Teaching procedure: Step 1 Warm up 1.

Greeting with the students. 2.

Fill in the class schedule with the students. Step 2 Presentation 1.

The teacher will point at the schedule and ask the students“Do you like …？”to present the new word“maths”(read the word one by one).

-Do you like maths?

-Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.

The teacher will draw an apple on the blackboard.

T: What’s this?

Ss: Apple.

T: Yes, it’s an apple. I like drawing. I like art.（read the word in groups）.

Listen to music and tell the students “I like singing and dancing.I like music.”(1.2.3.4.5.Boom!) 4.

Guess the picture (PE).

Pay attention to the spelling. 5.

Play a game: turn around. 6.

Guess: what is it? (Chinese book- Chinese、English) (Dance with the words.) 7.

Show the picture of science class to present the new word “science”. 8.
