本课是冀教版小学英语四年级下册Lesson13 How Old Are You?第一部分主要是介绍了两个句型:How old are you?和When is your birthday?第二部分是对句型进行操练的练习。
教学目标
I. 知识目标:1.掌握“四会”单词:am,
when,
birthday.
2.句型:How old are you? I am ___years old. When is your birthday? II.能力目标:能理解并灵活运用句型;
能正确说出自己的年龄和生日,并与同学进行口语交际。
III.情感目标:
1.情感态度:重视激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的积极态度。
告诉学生要爱父母,孝敬父母。
2.学习策略:注重学生之间的互助,培养他们的合作精神。
教学重难点:

句型:How old are you? I am ___years old. When is your birthday?
教学准备:
课件,图片,练习单
教学步骤:
Step One Greeting
1. Say” Hello” to students, tell them we will learn new lesson together. (Write the title on the blackboard.) 2. Sing a song ”Ten little Indian boys”
(设计意图:为了调动学生的积极性,更好地进入新课的学习)
Step Two
Revision Show four Indian boys, tell the students the boys bring tasks, if we finish the tasks , they will give us a gift. 1. Task one:
“Let’s chant”
Ask the students to chant together, then divide them into girl’s team and boy’s team, let them chant again. (设计意图:复习学过的基数词和序数词,让学生记得序数词的变化及发音。) After that, show three cards “seventeen---seventeenth”
“twenty---twentieth”
“twenty-one ----- twenty-first”
(设计意图:让学生复习一些特殊变化的序数词,为本课出现的日期做准备。) At last , there is a star on the PPT to encourage the students. 2. Task two:
Song “Months of the Year”
Game : About months (设计意图:复习月份单词,让学生能够准确快速的读出月份单词,为本课的学习做准备。) At last , there is also a star on the PPT to encourage the students.
Step Three
New concepts 1. Task 3
①Picture of Mickey Mouse, he is celebrate his birthday.
T: Can you guess how old is Mickey?
Ss: Five years old. T: Ok, when we want to know somebody’s age, what should we say?
Point to a student , ask “If I want to know your age, how can I ask?”
(Write down “How old are you? I am ___years old.” on the blackboard)
Let the student read after teacher.
Then ask “when is his birthday?”
(Write down “When is your birthday?.” on the blackboard)
Let the student read after teacher. (设计意图:通过学生喜欢的动画人物引出
本课的重点句型,孩子们更容易激起学习的兴趣。) ②Practice
Ask the students ask and answer in pairs.
Let them show. (设计意图:对重点句型进行对话练习,既能巩固本课的新知识,有提高了学生的自信心,让学生能积极地开口说英语。) 2. Task 4
Listen , read and do ①PPT

Ask the students listen and watch carefully with these questions.
After that, let them read books again, and answer the questions. (设计意图:通过整体感知课文,让学生锻炼听的能力。然后让学生在读的过程中掌握重点句型,达到操练提升的目的。) ②
Exercise
Show out two exercises, let the students do in groups.
Let them show and answer. At last , there is a small face on the PPT to encourage the students. ③
Make a survey
Let the students make a survey, they can ask friends. (设计意图:完成课文第二部分,同时锻炼学生的口语表达能力,让学生能够把所学英语运用到日常生活当中。)
Ask some students show.
Step Four Ask the students to watch a video “Family”
Tell them know their father’s or mother’s birthday, and love their family members. (设计意图:情感升华,告诉学生记住爸爸妈妈的生日,要爱家庭,爱祖国。)
