Step 1 Review 1. Play a game: “ The number game” to
review number , play with numbers up to ten thousand . 2.Review some phrases :What day is it ?

1.引出新课题,教授新单词airport,教读数遍并让学生明白单词的意思。
2.Ask and answer:
(1) Who is this? Jenny\Danny\Li Ming.
(2) Where does Jenny live? Canada
(3) Where does Li Ming live? China
How long is it from September 1 to June 25? Ss count the months: October November December January February…June. Wow! That’s ten months.
3. Teaching “ What
time is it ? ”
(1) 指着自己的手腕处,问:What time is it ? (强调连读is it)Explain that we use “o’clock” only on the hour.
(2) Demonstrate: Draw a clock on the blackboard. T asks and
get volunteers to answer the question .
T: What time is it on the clock?
S: Four thirty.
T: Now what time is it?
S: It’s four forty-five.
(3) Practice in pairs
Ask the student to work in pairs to practice telling time with their student clock.
S1: What time is it?
S2: It’s________ . Step 3. New Text 1. Listen to the tape and answer
the question :
a.Why does Li Ming come to Canada?
b.When does Li Ming arrive? When will Li Ming go home?
c.What time did Li Ming’s plane arrive ?

d.Who meets him at the airport ?
e.Did he have a good trip ? Step 4. Let’s do it
1.Read part 1 and 2.Answer the questions. 2.Ask and answer.Then write.
Tell the students to look at the four clocks. Students should then answer the question What time is it ? in he places provided below.and
write the time in different cities. For example: It’s one o’clock in the afternoon in Beijing./ It’s1:00 p.m.in Beijing. It’s one o’clock in the morning in Ottawa../ It’s1:00 a.m.in Ottawa.
作业设计:
Make up a dialogue about meeting someone at the airport . Use“ What
time is it ? It’s ______.”
