1. Through listening and repeating students can listen, read and say the related words and sentences. 2. Through activities of pair work and role play, students can listen and read the sentence “Are there any...?”

”Yes, there are.”

”No, there aren’t”. 3. Through performance students can use the dialogue correctly and flexibly in the park, zoo, school and love the nature. Important and difficult points: 1.

Master the plural form of the general question and the answer of affirmative and negative: Are there any…? Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.

2. Use the above sentence patterns to get the information in the actual situation like school, park and zoo. Preparation:

Step 1 Warm-up

1. Review

The teacher plays some pictures about nature park to lead in the topic.

After showing a picture, teacher leads students to recall the things in the park quickly by using “there be” sentence patterns. 【design purpose:

Students consolidate the sentence pattern and it makes the next activity work well.】

Step 2 Presentation

1. Lead in: Listen and say The teacher shows the picture of talk and give three answers, then let students listen, choose and say the answer.

2. Learn the dialogue a.

Present the sign of quiet and let two or three students try to read it. Show two parks let students choose the right one. And lead in the sentence “There aren’t many people.”

b. Present two pictures “tall building”

and practice it. The teacher ask a question “Are there any tall buildings?” and reads twice like “Let’s chant”, let students try to say it and answer the question. Then show another picture and answer the question. c. Practice and say. The teacher presents a park and shows the sentence pattern. Students talk with classmates about the picture. Then choose two or three groups to show it.

3. Listen, read and role play a. The teacher plays the tape, and let students follow. Then do the role play, the boys are Zhang Peng and girls are Miss White.

b. Pair work: practice the dialogue with the partner and then act it out. 【Design purpose: Students can understand and know how to use the sentence in such a situation.】

Step 3 Practice

Guide and tourist.

1. The teacher sets an example being a guide with a red flag. Then she looks for the tourist among students. If she finds a tourist who ask some questions, the student can get an answer and a hat.

2. Present the pictures of “school, park, zoo”, and then divide students into groups, each group can choose one scene, make a new dialogue and show it. 【Design purpose: It leads the knowledge into our daily life. And students can apply this sentence pattern flexibly in different situation.】

Step 4 Blessings Through enjoying the music and pictures of nature, the teacher promote students the positive emotions and cultivate sentiments.
