Unit 4 When is Easter

Read and write

Step 1:

1.Greet students

2.Guess the riddle. Who am I? Yes. It’s a cat.

Whose cat is it? It’s Sarah’s cat.

It’s big and cool. It’s a mother cat now. Do you know why?

Because it has two new kittens.(贴板书)

Step 2:

1.What are the kittens like? Small / cute / young 强调cat和kitten的区别,Kitten的读音

2.Sarah is so happy. She wrote something about the kittens in the diary book. 黑板上画笔记本.板书,强调diary的读音并教读Now let’s read Sarah’s Diary

Step 3:

1.Listen to the passage. How many diaries did Sarah write?(如果答不出来就翻开书数几个日期就是几个日记)

贴板书四个日期

2.Read the passage , then put the pictures in order! 老师教读

Check answers:Which picture is No.1?

Now let’s see the pictures. The kittens are different in every picture. 看着四幅图谈谈kitten的变化,这个环节可以让学生看着图片说更多关于Kitten的情况,相当于预测内容情节,通过预测学生能大概了解Kitten的外貌和做的事。

2.Learn the diary

Diary 1 and 2:

Now let’s read Sarah’s diaries. How do the kittens grow up?

A:Read diary 1 and 2.

Question: What do you know about the kittens?

老师适当提醒引导,尽量让学生去表达,同时老师写板书。

Diary 3 and 4:

先读再talk

老师准备好需要贴板书的内容放在讲桌上,然后学生表达完后请学生上讲台贴板书导图。

3.老师做一个示范Try to retell

Team work: practice retell one part of the diary. Then choose students to retell. 一个学生可以复述一部分

Look at the blackboard and retell the diary. 会的学生都可以站起来复述4.Reading

Step 4

1.Work-shit

Match---- writing----- practice reading ----- show time

2.Talk: Do you have a pet? Imagine if you have a pet. How do you look after your pet?

Diary 1: April 15th is a special day. Why? Because Sarah’s cat has two new kittens. It’s their birthday. 贴生日蛋糕的图

Diary 2:

How old are the kittens? Let’s read the date and count.

强调make noises.先让学生学猫叫的声音,大家都在叫很乱,告诉他们这叫noises;然后听音频Kitten饿了是怎么叫的,大家再模仿,这时老师把准备好的奶瓶给叫得正确的学生喝。

强调walk,让学生模仿,看视频

5.Read and match. 学生完成P43书上的两个习题强调书写评价

6.Reading: 教读、请学生示范读、齐读

7.Look at the blackboard and retell the diary.
