Teaching aims

At the end of the class the students are able to : 1. Understand the story on page 55 and answer the questions about the story correctly . 2. Role play the story with the help of some teaching aids. 3. Realize the importance of cherishing food . Teaching key and difficult points 1. Students are supposed to understand the words and some sentences : Anything else ? Here's your bill with the help of vivid situation. 2. Students are supposed to role play the story with correct pronuciation and intonation .

Teaching procedures Ⅰ.Warming up & Leading in

T:Good morning,boys and girls. Nice to meet you again. Are you ready for the class? Good ! How are you ? First of all, let's play a guessing game.It is a fruit which is red,round,sweet and juicy. What is it ? Good guessing! It's an apple. Do you like apples ? I like apples because

they are red, round, juicy and sweet. Do you remember the song: Apple red, apple round... ? Ok, let's sing the song together (twice). Well done, boys and girls. You did a good job ! Ⅱ.Presentation 1.T: I like apples. And I also like some other food to eat. Look! What's that ? What's in the fridge (PPT)?

Revise the words of food and learn the new words. 2.Teach the words chopsticks, a knife and fork with the help of a sentence pattern : I have ... with ... Look and say: I have ... with ... (PPT)

3. Show a video of David's breakfast . And make the questions : What would I like for breakfast ?

What would you like for breakfast ? Ask and answer in pairs using What would you like for breakfast ? I'd like ... 4. Show the logo of Pizza Hut.

Questions : What can you have in Pizza Hut ? Teach the new words ：

pizza , pasta, steak . Candy, Wendy, and Lucy are at the Pizza Hut . We are going to watch a video. Answer the questions after watching and fill in the blanks.

5.T: Open your books and turn to page 55. Watch the flash and find the answers . Read after the recordings.

Role play the story . Ⅲ.Extension and Summary

Watch a video and talk about it . Then make a conclusion : Cherishing food is a passion for life.
