Can read, write and point out new words：pizza, cola, milk, chicken, hamburger, ice cream, popcorn, fish, orange juice, beans on toast, rice, chips according to pictures correctly. 2.

Can perceive and understand countable and uncountable nouns basically. 3.

Can write down food words according to the sentences: What’s your favourite food? My favourite food is...I love...，and can use these sentences to communicate with each other to express personal feelings.

Show some food pictures to lead in today’s topic. 2.

Play a video of food to raise students’ interest. Step 2 Presentation 1.

Show the pictures of : pizza, chicken, fish, ice cream, milk and say:”My favourite food is chicken. Emma’s favourite food is fish. And Toby’s favourite is pizza. So what’s your favourite food?”

Use pictures and sentences to help students have a revision of learned food words. Then show new words pictures: popcorn hamburger orange juice cola to teach them one by one. 3.

Use different methods to practice：popcorn, cola, orange juice, hamburger,

1）Listen the pronunciations of words and point out it；

2）show a picture and read the word；

3）Show the word spelling and point out the food pictures. 4.

Ask students to close their books and finish: How many words can you remember?

Invite some students to do the memory game and give their prize. Step 3 Listen and write the children’s favourite food.

The teacher shows new food words pictures and words: beans on toast，rice，chips and teach one by one. 2.

Ask students to turn to page 38 and say：What’s are the children’s names？Guide them to look the pictures and read the four names：Jeff，Julia，Karen，Bob. 4.

Play the tape and students perceive the content for the first time. 5.

Play the tape again and ask students to match the four kids and their favourite’s food. After that ask them to write down the food words on their text books. 6.

Play the tape again and check answer together:

1）Role play. The teacher asks and one student answer：Jeff，what’s your fovourite food? Ss: Pizza, I love pizza.

2)The teacher asks and all students answer：What’s Jeff’s favourite food? Ss：Pizza. 7.

The teacher uses body language and expression and the help of pictures to say:I love chicken. And repeat it for several times. Then ask students to use the sentence pattern and new food words to say new sentences.

Step 3 Practice 1.

Group work to practice conversations to communicate personal favourite food. 2.

The teacher asks students to look the blackboard and have a revision of the class.
