Teaching aims: To master the main sentences: What’s your hobby? My hobby is collecting maps. Also master the new words about hobbies: collect, stamps, toy cars, picture cards, map.

Sing an action song named I am so happy.

Step 2:Go over the dialogue of Lesson 7 in groups. Step 3: Answer the teacher’s question: T:What’s your hobby?

Step 4: Show pictures on the white board and learn to read the new words.

Toy cars: Read it in high voice and low voice. Stamps: (Pay attention to the pronunciation of letter “t”) Read it one by one. Make sure that all of the students know how to read it. Maps: Use a timer on the computer to read it in groups. Compare which group is faster. Picture cards: Read it by single ,in groups or together.

Step 5: Use a dice to play a game.

Touch the dice and show a word. The student who can read it out first will add one score for the group. Step 6: Listen and show

Listen to the instruction and show the right picture in rows. (Add scores for the group.) Step 7: Practise the main sentences in pairs. Use a Lucky Wheel to practice the main sentences in pairs. Each hobby on the wheel has different scores. Touch the wheel to choose a picture and practice in pairs. Step 8: Open their books. Listen and read after the record. Step 9:Make up a dialogue with their partners and act it out. Step 10: Introduce more words which express one’s hobbies.
