Unit 8 Birthdays 单元分析：

本单元围绕“生日”这一主题，从谈论生日的具体日期入手，到邀请朋友参加生日聚会，小客人来访、祝贺、送礼等情节，把有关“询问日期”、“邀请”、“征求意见”等日常交际用语与词汇和句型有机地结合起来，体现在对话和课文中。本单元既呈现了十分丰富的语言材料，又展示了中国人“过生日”的文化风俗和习惯。比如：家人相聚庆祝生日，吃面条以表示长寿。教师在教学中可根据学生的兴趣和需要开展丰富多彩的活动，在教授本单元内容的基础上，着重引导学生体会、可以带着学生了解英语国家人民过生日时的风俗习惯，以培养学生跨文化交际的能力。

2) 能够运用自己的语言或关键词对自己的生日加以描述。

3. Emotional aims：

培养学生们对于生日话题的喜爱，懂得给予他人真诚的生日祝福以及了解东西方生日习俗的异同。
