Unit 5 What’s the weather like today?
I.Greetings:
T: Good afternoon,children.
Ss: Good afternoon ,Susan.
T: Hello, I’m Susan. Nice to meet you! Ss: Hello, I’m ... Nice to meet you,too. II.Warm-up:
T: Do you like rain?
Ss: No, I don’t. Do you like rain?
T: No, I don’t,either. Let’s sing a song. Rain, rain,go away.
Rain,rain go away.
Come again another day.
Little children want to play.

①. T chant it and do the gestures. Ss follow it.
Then the students sing after the teacher . ②.
III. Review and lead-in
T: Guess, what we are going to learn?

T:Yes. We are going to learn how to talk about the weather in English.
Watch the picture and ask Ss“What’s this?’’Ss: It’s the sun.
Review words and sentences:

④. Flash cards (group work) According to the teacher’s cards answer Susan’s questions quickly.
V.production:
1.Game: Little reporter
Susan ask several students “What’s the weather like today?”
Then get two students ask 6 students .
2.Watch a video to learn the sentence pattern “How is the weather in ____?”It’s ___ in _____. Then try to fill in the form.
3.Sing the weather song together.
4.Put the cards in to a sentence. (group work) T1 VS T2 to see which team is faster to put the words in to a sentence.
