教学目标

1. 能根据所学词汇简单描述物品的特征：The ruler is long. The pencil is short. The tree is tall. The cars are big. The bikes are small. 2. 完成Read and tick or cross部分的练习。

教学重难点：

能灵活运用所学句型在情境中进行交际。

Free talk: let the students use the adj.to describe our classroom. Hello, boys and girls! How are you? What can you see in our classroom? Where is ...? How many ... do you have? Is the … big/small/long/short/tall…? Ⅱ. Presentation ⅰ. 新课展示 Part A: Let’s say 1.

教师拿出所准备的尺子与学生对话：

I have a ruler. Do you have a ruler? 然后借助学生的尺子和自己的尺子进行对比，引领学生描述：This ruler is long. That ruler is short. Can you tell me what is long and what is short? Now let’s look at the elephant: The nose is long. The tail is short.

The ears are big. The eyes are small. The elephant is tall. And I am short. T: Look around. What is tall / short / long / big / small? The pencil is long.

The desk is tall.

The crayon is short. The chair is short. The eraser is small. ...’s hair is short. The blackboard is big.

...’s hair is long.

2. 为了让学生在描述物品特征时，能正确使用is和are，教师可以借助学生的文具用品和学生进行如下对话，下面以pencil和ruler为例：

T: How many pencils do you have? S1: I have three pencils. T: How many rulers do you have？

S2: I have two rulers. T: Look at the pencils and rulers. The pencils are short. The rulers are long. 3. 教师播放Let’s say部分的录音，让学生模仿语音语调，跟读句子。

ⅱ. Let’s practice Pair work: 要求学生根据课本中图片进行描述，比一比谁说得最流利。

3. Plat games: Passing down游戏。教师将所准备的 Let’s say部分的图片放进抽奖箱中。教师击掌后，示意全班学生传递玩偶，掌声停止时，手中持有玩偶的学生需要根据图片内容正确描述图片。
