Where is the schoolbag? Teaching aims: 1)
Grasp the new words:table, bed, sofa,chair. 2)
Enable the students to use the sentences “where is the…? It is in/on /under the…”
Teaching key&difficult point: Enable the students to know how to ask and answer the place of something.
Teaching procedures 1.
Warm-up Daily oral practice. For example: T: Good moring, S: Good moring, T:Nice to meet you! S:Nice to meet you, too. T: what is this ?
S:It is a pen. T: Great! What is this? S: It is a ruler. …

Presentation 1)
Show the picture of a table, then ask “What is this ?” the students answer”It is a…” Then teach the students to speak “table” in English. Then ask Ss to pratice this new word. 2)
Use this form, let pupils grasp the new words: table, bed, sofa, and chair. 3)
After learn the new words, then show the students 3 pictures. The fist picture shows there is a cat in the box. The teache asks: where is the cat? Then the students will answer it in Chinese. Then teach the new phrase: in the box. T: Where is the cat? S: It is in the box. 4)
In the same way shows the second picture that there is a cat on the box and the thid picture that there is a cat under the box. In this way help the students to use the phrases: in the.., on the…, under the..

Practice 1)
Teacher shows the pictures of bed, table, chair and sofa. And make them be hided,and ask students to guess what it is? 2)
Shows some pictures and ask the students to answer where the thing they have seen.
T: Where is the apple ? Students put their hands up and answer the questions “It is on the table. It is in the box. It is under the chair.”

Teacher correct the pronunciation. 4)
Play a game. “Passsing the ball”
When the music stop who have the ball will stand up and answer one question. The teacher will choose one thing in the picture and ask “Where is the..?” The students will answer”It is in/on/under the…”
