Teaching procedure:

Stage 1 Getting Ready for Learning

Step 1 Greeting: Greet the students.

T: Good morning boys and girls, are you happy today?

S: Yeah! T: Very good.

Step 2 Routine task

Stage 2 Revision

Step 1 Review the sentence structure of the last class.

Step 2 Review the words of last class.

Stage 3 Pre - listening

Step 1 vocabulary presentation

Present the vocabulary on the black board and put these words into a short story. T: (Draw a picture on the blackboard) look at the blackboard, what’s this? S: Frog T: This frog is from a kingdom, do you know what is kingdom?

S: Kingdom refers to the country! T: Right! This frog lives in somewhere that full of water, so it lives in? S: It lives in the pool. T: Look at the picture, is it handsome?

S: It isn’t handsome, it’s ugly! T: OK! It wants to live in the palace, so it comes to a wicked witch,

can you replace the word ”wicked” by using another word? S: Bad! Evil!

T: Very good! So the wicked witch put a spell on the frog. T: So the frog become very handsome, and it dose not want to live in the palace

anymore.

Step 2 review the words

Task 1 Finish activity 3 on page 19 then check answer. T: let’s finish activity 3 on page 19.

Step 3 prediction (predict what will happen in the story) Task 1 Underline the characters’ name in the material and find out their

Relationships.(ask students and then write on the blackboard)

Stage 4 while - listening

Step 1 Listen to the material for the first time and then finish activity 1 on P19.

Then check answer.

Activity 1: Work in pairs and put the sentence in correct order. The first sentence

is done for you.

A. Before he leaves for the war, Argon asks his handsome son, Ferdinand, to

revenge if he gets killed.

B. The king takes the woman to his palace and marries her, not knowing that

she is a wicked witch.

C. Argon, the king’s brother, who rules a nearby kingdom, goes to war with

the witch.

D. A beautiful woman comes out and the king falls in love with her.’

E. A king goes out hunting and comes to a cottage.

F. The witch wins the war and kills Argon and all his army.

G. A frog jumps put of a pool and tells Ferdinand that he can help him kill the

witch.

H. The witch puts a spell on the king and becomes the ruler of the land.

Step 2 Listen to the material for the second time and then finish activity 5 on P20.

Activity 5: Answer the question about the story.

2. What dose the girl say about it is easy to do?

Teacher. Then check answer.

Step 2 Continue the story Task 4 Continue the story by yourself, discuss in groups. Stage 6 Summary

Step Review the words. Task 5 Make up sentences with the words we learned today. Each sentence
