Unit 6 Jobs Period one
一、教学目标:
1、能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写八个单词及其短语:
a taxi driver
a firefighter
a police officer
a writer an officer worker
a doctor
a nurse
a teacher 2、能听懂、会说、会读和会写Target中的句型: What do you do? I’m a nurse.
What do you want to be? I want to be a teacher. 二、教学重点:
单词的学习与掌握,学会句子。
三、教学难点:
句型的运用与交流。
What do you do? What do you want to be? 四、教具准备:
Tape recorder , teaching cards. 五、教学过程:
Step I Warming up and Revision 1.Sing a song
2.PPT shows the words of unit5 ,ask Ss to read them together. 3.Read the sentences. Is this your/his/her…?
Are these…?
Whose…is this/are these?
Step IIPresentation
1.New words (1).Show some pictures to Ss and let them guess the meaning. (2).Teach Ss to read these new words and correct their pronunciations. a taxi driver
a firefighter
a police office
a writer an officer worker
a doctor
a nurse
a teacher (3).Practice reading. (4).Listen to the tape ,ask Ss to read following the tape. (5).show the cards,ask some Ss to read the words in the card. 2.Teach sentences. (1).Ask Ss to look at the pictures of the book. Then ask the whole class:
T: What do you do ?
S1:I’m a nurse.
S2:I’m a teacher.
S3:....
T:What do you want to be?
S1:I want to be a taxi driver.
S2:I want to be a writer.
S3:...
(2) Write down the sentence pattern on the blackboard: What do you do? I’m a nurse. What do you want to be? I want to be a teacher.
Step III Pair-work
Ask students to read the conversation and make conversations. Then let some pairs to role play their conversations.
StepIV Homework 1. Copy the new words and sentences. 2. Read “Vocabulary” two times. Step V. Summary Today we talk about the jobs.
How to ask jobs: “What do you do?”

How to ask ideal jobs:“What do you want to be?”
