3.Retell the story. Teaching Important points and Difficult Points: How to help students understand the interesting story and retell it.

Step 1. Lead-in

1.Sing the song: We have a new classroom. 2.Revise:What’s in our classroom?

Step 2: Balloon Time

1.Show Ss a red balloon, say: Oh, there is a red balloon in our classroom.

Then, ask: Where is it? Help Ss to answer: Look! It’s on the light\on the blackboard\on the fan \on the wall etc. 2.Repeat with a blue balloon.

Step 3. Listening time 1. Make the sound of a bee. Ask: What’s the sound? 2.Help Ss answer: It’s a bee.\There’s a bee. 3.Ask: Where is the bee? 4. Ss listen and find out the answer: It’s on the light first, then on the fan, later on the wall. But at last it’s on the blackboard.

5.Say: A bee is on the blackboard. Why are they so excited? Let’s read the story.

Step 4. Reading Time

SB Page 11, Part C 1. Ss open the book. Talk about the pictures ,get Ss to find: The bee is exactly on the blank: What’s this? It’s a _____.Make sure they understand the story is so interesting. 2.Play the tape. Ss listen and repeat. Pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation. 3.Ss practise it in groups.

Step 5. Showing time

Ask some groups to act it out .

Step 6. Homework Tell the story to the others.
