Step ⅠWarming up 1.

Greetings 2.

Free talk: Where did you go last summer holiday? Who was with you? How did you go there? What did you do? Did you have a good time? StepⅡ Pre-task 1.

Show some pictures to get students to be familiar with the new

words. 2.

Organize the students to read the new words tighter. 3.

Ask students to find these places on the map.(Activity 1) StepⅢ While-task 1.

Play the tape, ask students to listen and number the places, then check the answer. (Activity 1) 2.

Get students to listen to the conversation in Activity 2 and finish three tasks:① Where did Betty go on holiday two years ago?

② Who went there with her?

③ Circle the places that Betty went on the map. 3.

Get students to understand the questions about the conversation, and play the cartoon and ask students to underline the answers to the questions and check the answers. 4.

Guide students to read the conversation by themselves and invite several students to read in different roles. 5.

Let students read the circle the past tense of verbs with highlighter, write the words in their exercise book, and invite students to write their original forms on the blackboard, then check. StepⅣ Post-task 1.

Guide students to talk about their summer holiday. 3.

Divide students into groups, and give students four minutes to
