五、Teaching procedure: Step1. Showing time 1. Let’s talk (talk about me) T: Today, I’m your new English teacher, you just know my name is Sandy. Do you want to know more about me? Look at these pictures, can you talk something about me? (给出一些日常生活场景照片,提示学生使用句型:You have a …It’s/he’s …/ You can …/ You like … There is/are …)

T: Good! And according to the pictures, can you guess, what do I like doing? Pay attention to this learning tip : like 后跟动词的ing形式。So you should say maybe you like …ing …

S1: Maybe you like playing football. T: No, I don’t. I think boys may like playing football. S2: Maybe you like drawing. S3: …

4. Read and discuss.

T: Ok, boys and girls, we know their hobbies. Now let’s try to know more about the story. Here’re some ideas about Mike and his friends. Read in your groups and discuss. If you agree, please give a smiling face, if you don’t agree, please give a crying face. Do you understand?

S: Yes. T: And pay attention to this tip. Let’s start. (出示attention: 1、组内大声朗读课文。2、关注每个细节,划出关键句子,并注意关键句子背后的含义。) (1)Mike can play football well. T: Yes or No? How do you know? T: Maybe Liu Tao is good at table tennis, maybe he is not. So we can give it a smiling face or a crying face. They’re all right. But look, Liu Tao is good at... Yes, he likes football too.
