二、教学目标: (一)知识目标:

能够听说读写以下句子：

January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year. The first day, January 1st, is called New Year’s Day. In China, Spring Festival is usually in January or February.. （二）能力目标:

能在具体情景中，描述一月和二月的相关内容，并能对其内容进行谈论。

（三）情感目标: 通过对月份的学习，激发学生热爱生活的积极情感。

三、教学重点：

能够听、说、读、写January和February及句子：

January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year. 四、教学难点：

读懂并了解两个节日的简单活动及一些习俗。

七、教学过程: （一）Warm-up 1. 1. Show some pictures. 2. Let's chant.

Read the information.

Listen to the chant. 活动设计意图：复习引出本课主题, 提升课堂气氛，使学生渴望新知。

（二）Presentation PPT show the words and the patterns. (month, January, February) “January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year.”

（三）Practice 1.T:“There is a big day in January, do you know it?”

T:“It is on the first day of January (January the first)”

2. Show pictures to explain “celebrate”. Ask them

“How do you celebrate NYD?”

3.Make them read the first paragraph .

Teach “on January 1st” and “is called”. 4.Check：Do you know?

5.Fill in the blanks.

6.Practise in pairs. （四）Extension 1. T: After NYD, there is another new year. (show it) T: When is it?

2. Show some activities, make them match and check if they can read , then talk about the activities.
