Teaching Procedure: Step 1 . Lead-in I’ve been teaching you English for about one year .I began to give you the first lesson on September 3 last year .Do you remember ? What’s your first impression of me ? Who would like to say yours ? …

Today we are going to learn Lesson 4 and we’ll read a story about two friends’ first impressions . Step 2 . Reading Please read the story and answer the questions in Exercise 2 . After a few minutes , have some students to give their answers . Step 3 . Careful Reading Read the text again and fill in the forms . Time : One day . Place : In a local library . Characters : Jane , Jenney , a librarian . Cause : Jenney’s singing disturbed Jane . Process : 1. Reading in the library . 2. Disturbed by Jenney’s singing and leaving the library . 3. Leaving her textbook in the library . 4. Jenney brought the book to her . Outcome : Jenney forgave Jane and they have become good friends . Step 4 . Listening and Understanding 1.
