Most of the students are curious about English and they are interested in it. They want to gain the teacher’s recognition.

The aim of this reading is to continue the second part of the play in which Pickering makes a bet with Henry. If Henry can turn Eliza into a lady in three months, Pickering will consider Henry the greatest teacher alive and pay all the Resource analysis

costs himself. Since this passage is a play, the most important part is to let students organize their play.

Then reading part can be divided into 3 parts----understanding the plot, giving a performance of the play and making a dialogue. Through these, students can have their ability to read, act and speak developed. Some special activities can be involved in each part.
