教学背景

教材分析

本课的教学内容是冀教版小学英语五年级下册第二单元的第六课，是一节故事课，第二单元的主题是“In Beijing”，单元的前五课向学生介绍了Li Ming , Mrs. Li , Jenny and Danny 一起游览天安门广场，故宫和长城，并且到王府井购物的场景。而本课继续围绕长城话题，通过Li Ming向Jenny和Danny介绍长城，巩固本单元有关长城的特点：old and long，呈现中国人对长城的习惯称呼、有关长城的谚语以及如何爱护长城、保护周围环境。在本课中出现了一些新单词和短语，如oldest , part, keep, more than和true man等

,但同学们可以联系上下文或根据语境猜测词义，总体来说本篇故事不是很难。

学情分析

本课的教授对象是小学五年级学生，该年级的学生已有两年半的英语学习经验，具有一定的语言基础。经过前面英语故事方法的学习，无论是在理解能力还是实际操作方面都具备了一定的水平，课上主要培养学生的阅读能力，增强学生理解和就故事内容进行问答的能力。根据不同层次的学生学习要求，激发学习兴趣，开展分层教学，培养学生良好的故事学习方法和学习习惯。

4、情感教育，欣赏中国其他的名胜古迹。
