教学目标:

1.知识与技能:学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写单词:tall；

学生能够认读、理解并运用下列基本句型结构: How tall are you？

I am metres tall. 2.过程与方法:通过创设情境,利用小组合作学习的方式,注重师生互动、生生互动,学生能够生锻炼口语表达能力和语言交际能力；

3.情感态度与价值观:运用游戏及多种教学手段激发学生学习兴趣,培养学生大胆说英语的习惯,帮助树立学习英语的自信心。

教学重点:学生理解并运用句型：

How tall are you？

I am metres tall.

教学难点:学生使用英语正确的讨论身高。

教学准备:米尺,多媒体课件。

教学过程:

Step 1. Warming up T:Good morning, boys and girls! S:Good morning, Miss Li! T：Nice to meet you! S:Nice to meet you,too.(师生问候,营造轻松和谐的课堂氛围,拉近师生关系) Step 2. Revision

T: We know how to how old you are. Now,look at this picture and talk about their ages.(教师通过多媒体课件展示一张全家福的照片，并标明年龄。) 1.Is this girl three years old？

No, she isn’t. She is five years old. 2.How old is her father/mother？

3.How old is her grandfather ？

Step 3 Presentation 1.教师出示一组图片(图片中形象有明显的高矮分别）

T：Look! There are two animals in the picture. S：Yes. T:What’s the difference? S：This giraffe is tall, and the sheep is short.

(通过图片和讲解，帮助学生理解tall和short的意思。) 2.How tall are you？

T:Could you tell me：what is tall in our classroom? S1：My desk is tall and my chair is short. S2：He is tall and she is short.(S2指着一位男生和一位女生）

T：Ok! Let me tell you: How tall are you? (教师拿出米尺，测量4-5名生的身高，并不停地询问:How tall are you? How tall are you，测量完毕，将数据记录在黑板上。)

教学反思：本课作为All about me这一单元的一部分，主要是帮助学生运用英语句型来练习提问和回答有关身高的问题。课堂上气氛活跃，学生们的参与积极性很高。但在“I’m___ metres tall.”表述时，因为涉及到陌生词汇，学生表达有难度。通过多次领读和小组练习，学生已经能够顺利较为标准地表达，这样既为学生练习口语搭建了平台，又培养了学生之间的团队精神。
